Its festivity is celebrated on 5 August, commonly known as ''Andre Maria Zuriaren jaiak'' or ''las fiestas de la Blanca''. ==History== The history of the White Virgin begins with the creation of the city by King Sancho VI of Navarre in 1181. In the 17th century the Virgen Blanca brotherhood was created in order to promote the devotion of the city's patron saint.
